Refund and Cancellation Policy
Clear cancellation windows for courses, live sessions, workshops, and customized educational work.

1. Scope and priority of rights
This policy describes cancellation and refund arrangements for the Pryden Scholar services advertised on this website. It covers structured courses, private online training, business skills programs, instructor-led workshops, customized learning programs, small business team training, and educational materials development. Prices are in United States dollars. The actual service and start date are confirmed before purchase.
Mandatory consumer rights and any applicable educational enrollment requirements take priority over a conflicting provision in this policy. A service-specific written agreement may provide more favorable arrangements or define a staged project, but it cannot remove a right that the law makes nonwaivable. This policy is not a representation that every professional training program is exempt from education regulation or that a general cancellation window satisfies every regulated enrollment requirement.
2. How to request a cancellation
Send the request directly to Pryden Scholar using the contact information at the end of this policy. Identify the purchaser, service, confirmed booking or enrollment details, and what you want to cancel. If payment was made, include enough information to locate the transaction without sending complete card details or an account password. A request should clearly distinguish a cancellation from a question about possible rescheduling.
The enquiry form on this website does not send messages, so its confirmation is not a cancellation notice. A cancellation takes effect through a communication that reaches the company, subject to any legally applicable notice rule. Keep a copy of the request and any confirmation. If a time-sensitive deadline is approaching, use a direct contact method rather than relying on an unsent website form.
3. Courses and business skills programs
For a scheduled Professional Skills Development Course or Business Skills Training Program, a purchaser may cancel at least seven full calendar days before the confirmed start date for a refund of the amount paid for that service. This arrangement assumes that separately agreed custom development has not already begun; any such work must be identified and priced separately before purchase.
If cancellation is received less than seven full calendar days before the start but before the service begins, the standard refund is fifty percent of the service fee paid, unless a more favorable written agreement or legal requirement applies. After the service starts or purchased on-demand content is made available under the agreed access arrangement, a change of mind does not automatically create a full refund. A failure to deliver the agreed service, an incorrect charge, or a statutory cancellation right is considered separately.
4. Private online training sessions
A Private Online Training Session may be cancelled or rescheduled without a service cancellation charge when the request is received at least forty-eight hours before the confirmed session time. The parties should confirm any replacement date in writing. A proposed replacement date is subject to availability and should not be treated as booked until accepted.
For cancellation less than forty-eight hours before the session, the standard refund is fifty percent of the session fee paid. A participant who misses the session without timely notice is not automatically entitled to a refund or a free replacement. Reasonable exceptions may be considered for circumstances outside the participant's control, and these arrangements remain subject to applicable law. A session cancelled by the organizer is handled under the organizer cancellation provisions below.
5. Instructor-led virtual workshops
An Instructor-Led Virtual Workshop may be cancelled at least seven full calendar days before its confirmed start for a refund of the workshop fee paid. A cancellation received within seven full calendar days but before the start is eligible for a fifty percent refund, subject to a more favorable written arrangement or mandatory right. The purchaser should confirm whether the booking is for an individual place or an entire workshop engagement.
Once the workshop has begun, ordinary dissatisfaction or a participant's inability to remain for the complete session does not automatically require a full refund. A material difference from the confirmed description should be reported promptly and reviewed against the agreed agenda and delivery. A substitute participant may be permitted when the booking arrangement allows it and the participant meets any stated requirements; substitution should be approved before attendance.
6. Customized programs and team training
A Customized Learning Program or Small Business Team Training engagement may involve preparation, content planning, scheduled delivery, and materials. The written scope should state those stages and any cancellation conditions before payment. If the purchaser cancels before agreed project work begins and before any separately disclosed, nonrecoverable commitment is made, the amount paid for unperformed work is refundable.
If approved preparation or delivery has begun, completed work and agreed nonrecoverable costs may be deducted from the amount paid, with a clear explanation of the calculation. The remaining amount attributable to unperformed work is refundable. The company should not retrospectively invent a nonrefundable stage or charge for work that was neither agreed nor performed. A change to participant numbers, dates, or scope is handled as a written variation rather than an automatic cancellation of every existing obligation.
7. Educational materials development
An Educational Materials Development project is assessed against its agreed brief, milestones, formats, review rounds, and permitted uses. If the purchaser cancels before work begins, payment for unperformed work is refundable, except for a nonrecoverable cost that was specifically disclosed and agreed before commitment. If work has started, the calculation should distinguish completed work from work that has not been performed.
Completed, approved deliverables are not ordinarily refundable solely because the purchaser changes their plan. An alleged failure to meet the approved scope should be described with specific examples so that correction, an agreed adjustment, or another appropriate remedy can be considered. A purchaser is not required to accept a defective deliverable merely because it is digital, and this policy does not limit remedies provided by applicable law.
8. Organizer cancellation or material changes
If Pryden Scholar cancels a booked course, session, or workshop without providing the purchased service, the purchaser may choose an agreed replacement or a refund for the cancelled, undelivered service. A replacement should be a choice, not a condition imposed to avoid a refund that is due. If an engagement has several delivered stages, the refund calculation should identify the cancelled part clearly.
A material change to the confirmed subject, format, schedule, or included scope should be explained before the change is implemented wherever practical. The appropriate options depend on the change and applicable law. A minor administrative correction is not necessarily a material change, but the company should not label a substantially different service as equivalent without considering the purchaser's original agreement.
9. Technical problems, missed sessions, and disputes
Report a problem that prevents participation as soon as practical. A widespread platform failure or an organizer-side delivery problem should be distinguished from a participant's device, internet connection, or failure to review stated requirements. The parties can consider a replacement, continued access, partial adjustment, or another reasonable solution that fits the actual problem and legal obligations.
If you believe an amount is incorrect or a refund is due, explain the issue directly and include relevant booking or payment information. This policy does not restrict a lawful payment dispute or complaint. It also does not promise an outcome without reviewing the facts. A request concerning performance should be considered against the agreed service, rather than a guaranteed salary, business result, or other outcome that was not part of the educational promise.
10. Refund method and processing
An approved refund is ordinarily returned to the original payment method where that method supports it. If another method is necessary, it should be agreed with the purchaser and handled securely. Once eligibility and the amount are confirmed, the company will initiate the refund within ten business days unless a shorter legal deadline applies. The payment provider may take additional time to make the funds available.
Any calculation should identify the service fee paid, work or costs properly deducted, the amount refunded, and the reason. No processing fee should be invented after the purchase. Records may be retained for payment administration and legal obligations as described in the Privacy Policy. This policy may be updated for future arrangements; an update does not retrospectively remove a refund right attached to an existing purchase.
